Ant Control in Kent County, DE
Ants in the kitchen, the bathroom, or coming up through the slab? We find where they're coming from and treat the colony.
What we do

A few kinds of ants cause most indoor ant problems around here. Odorous house ants are tiny, brown to black, and give off a rotten smell when you crush them. They love sweets and live in colonies of thousands with many queens. Pavement ants are about 1/8 inch, dark brown, and nest in cracks in pavement and along foundations. Spraying the ants you see doesn't reach the nest. That's why we lean on baits the workers carry home and share with the rest of the colony, backed by treatment outside and tips to keep them from coming back.
How we treat it
Colony baits
Workers carry bait back to the nest and share it, so it reaches ants you'll never see.
Outside treatment
We treat the areas around your foundation where ants travel and nest.
Entry point tips
We'll point out cracks to seal, plants to trim back, and food sources to clean up.

What to expect
1. Inspect
We follow the trails to find where ants are getting in and figure out which ant you have.
2. Treat
We place baits where ants are feeding and treat outside where they nest. We'll tell you when kids and pets can go back into treated areas.
3. Follow up
Baits can take two weeks or longer to work through a colony. If ants are still around after that, call us.
How to get ready
- Don't spray the ants before we come. We want to follow their trails to the nest.
- Make a note of where you see ants and what they're going after.
- Wipe up crumbs and spills, and put sweets in sealed containers.
After your treatment
- The treatment we use for ants works slowly on purpose, so the workers carry it back to the nest. It can take two weeks or longer.
- Try not to spray or wipe up the ants on the trail during that time.
- If they're still a problem within 30 days, call us and we'll come back at no extra charge.
Common questions
How much is ant control?
It depends on the property and the pest. Call us and we'll give you a quote.
Why am I still seeing ants after treatment?
Baits work slowly on purpose so workers have time to share them with the queen. It can take two weeks or longer.
Should I spray the ants I see?
It's better not to. Killing the workers on the trail keeps them from carrying bait back to the nest.
Are those big black ants a different problem?
They might be carpenter ants, which nest in damp or rotting wood. See our carpenter ant control page, or call us and we'll take a look.
How fast can you come out?
We can usually get out within the week, and sometimes the same day.
