Mouse and Rat Control in Kent County, DE

Droppings in the cabinets or scratching in the walls? We find how mice and rats are getting in, trap them, and help seal them out.

What we do

A house mouse

House mice are small and gray, about 2 1/2 to 3 3/4 inches long, and they breed fast. Norway rats are bigger and brown, and they usually move indoors in the fall. You'll often find droppings in cabinets and drawers, gnaw marks, or greasy rub marks along walls. The CDC lists several diseases rodents can spread, including hantavirus, leptospirosis, and salmonellosis. The CDC's approach is simple: seal up, trap up, clean up. We follow the same plan. We trap the rodents inside and find and seal the gaps they're using to get in.

How we treat it

  • Trapping

We place traps along the paths mice and rats travel, out of the way of your family.

  • Sealing entry points

We find and close the gaps they use to get in. See our rodent exclusion page.

  • Cleanup tips

We'll show you food, clutter, and nesting spots to deal with so they don't settle back in.

What to expect

  • 1. Inspect

We look for droppings, gnaw marks, rub marks, and nests, and check for ways in.

  • 2. Treat

We set traps where rodents are active and seal the entry points we find.

  • 3. Follow up

All of our work comes with a 30-day warranty. If pests come back within 30 days of a treatment, call us and we'll come back out at no extra charge.

How to get ready

  • Make a note of where you've found droppings, gnaw marks, or heard scratching.
  • Clear a path to the attic, basement, garage, and under the sinks.
  • Put pet food and other food in sealed containers.

After your treatment

  • Don't move or reset the traps. We'll check them.
  • Keep food sealed and clutter down so rodents don't settle back in.
  • Sealing entry points keeps new ones out. Ask us about rodent exclusion.
  • If they're still a problem within 30 days, call us and we'll come back at no extra charge.

Common questions

How much is mouse or rat control?

It depends on the property and the pest. Call us and we'll give you a quote.

Do I have mice or rats?

Mouse droppings are small and pointed at the ends. Rat droppings are bigger, like a capsule with blunt ends.

Why do mice and rats show up in the fall?

They're looking for warmth and food as it cools down. Norway rats typically move indoors in autumn.

Are mice and rats a health concern?

Yes. The CDC lists hantavirus, leptospirosis, salmonellosis, LCM, and rat-bite fever as diseases rodents can spread directly.

How fast can you come out?

We can usually get out within the week, and sometimes the same day.
