Bird Removal and Control in Kent County, DE
Birds nesting in your dryer vent, gutters, or eaves? We clear the nest where the law allows and bird-proof the spot so they don't come back.
What we do
Birds look for sheltered spots to nest, and a home or business has plenty of them. Dryer and bathroom vents, gaps in soffits and eaves, gutters, and the tops of signs and ledges are common spots. A nest in a dryer vent can block the airflow, and droppings build up and make a mess under roosts and ledges. Most wild birds are protected by federal law, so an active nest of a protected bird can't simply be removed. House sparrows, European starlings, and pigeons are not protected, and they're the birds that most often cause problems on buildings. We identify the bird first, then clear nests where we're allowed to and put up covers, screens, and other bird-proofing so they can't get back into the same spot.
How we treat it
Identify the bird
What kind of bird it is decides what we're allowed to do, so we start there.
Nest removal
We clear nests from vents, eaves, and gutters when the law allows it.
Bird-proofing
Vent covers, screens, and sealed gaps keep birds out of the spots they were using.

Common questions
How much is bird removal?
It depends on the property and the pest. Call us and we'll give you a quote.
Can you remove any bird's nest?
Not always. Most wild birds are protected by federal law. House sparrows, starlings, and pigeons are not, and they cause most of the problems we see.
Is a nest in my dryer vent a problem?
Yes. It can block the airflow out of the dryer. Call us and we'll clear it and cover the vent.
Will the birds come back?
Not to the same spot once it's covered or sealed. That's why we bird-proof after we clear the nest.
How fast can you come out?
We can usually get out within the week, and sometimes the same day.
