Bat Removal and Exclusion in Kent County, DE
Bats in the attic, walls, or behind the shutters? We get them out without harming them and seal the gaps so they stay out.
What we do
Bats usually get into a home through small gaps along the roofline, in the eaves, around chimneys, and at gable vents. Once they find a warm spot like an attic, they come back to it year after year. You might hear scratching at dusk, see bats leaving the roof at sunset, or find droppings that pile up below where they roost. Bats are helpful outside because they eat a lot of insects, so the goal is to get them out of your building, not to hurt them. We find every opening they use, let them leave on their own with one-way exclusion devices, and then seal the openings so they can't get back in. We don't seal bats out in early summer while mothers are raising pups that can't fly yet, because the pups would be trapped inside. We'll set the right timing with you.
How we treat it
Full inspection
We check the roofline, eaves, soffits, chimney, vents, and attic to find every gap bats use.
One-way exclusion
Devices on the main openings let bats fly out at night but not back in.
Sealing
Once they're out, we close the openings so the colony can't move back in.
What to expect
1. Inspect
We find where the bats get in and out and how many entry points there are.
2. Exclude
We put one-way devices on the active openings and seal the rest.
3. Seal
After the bats are gone, we close the last openings.
4. Follow up
All of our work comes with a 30-day warranty. If pests come back within 30 days of a treatment, call us and we'll come back out at no extra charge.
Common questions
How much is bat removal?
It depends on the property and the pest. Call us and we'll give you a quote.
Can you just trap or kill the bats?
No. Bats are helpful outside, and the right way is to let them leave and then seal them out.
Why can't you do it in early summer?
That's when mothers are raising pups that can't fly yet. Sealing then would trap the pups inside, so we plan the timing with you.
How do I know if I have bats?
Scratching or squeaking at dusk, bats flying out of the roofline at sunset, or droppings piling up under one spot are the usual signs.
How fast can you come out?
We can usually get out within the week, and sometimes the same day.
